Everything Trump is doing is a miracle, in mathematical terms, but will his luck continue into 2019?

If just less than 80,000 Americans had decided not to vote for Trump anyway - or if an equal number of Americans had decided to vote for Hillary - we would all be in a quite different situation by now.

This number, 80,000, follows from these facts: Pennsylvania (20), Michigan (16) and Wisconsin (10) were extremely tight states, and the total margin was just 77,744 votes in the Republican favor - 44,292, 10,704 and 22,748, respectively.

Imagine that! This is important to remember. Hillary Clinton would be President today, if just 77,744 people had decided to vote differently or not at all. Think about the population of America which is 325,719,178 (2017 estimate), and think about how few people this actually is!

More than 128 million Americans voted on November 8, 2016, but, as the facts state, it all came down to really small numbers.

Everything we are seeing now that Trump is doing - making America great again - would never have happened to begin with had it not been for these 80,000 people voting Republican - or 80,000 people not voting Democratic. Everything!

It is important to remember now that the mid-terms are getting closer. This was by no means an easy victory, although the electoral votes signal otherwise: Trump 304, Hillary 227. So - what do you think is going to happen when we elect a new congress in less than 5 months? Do you think Republicans will win again?

The crystal-clear fact is that although Trump is doing great, there are still lots of voters against him and his party.

The silent majority might not be as loud when it comes to the congressional elections. And can we assume that all 63 million Americans that voted for Trump in 2016 still like him as their President? Also, the desire to vote for Trump just to avoid Hillary will not be in play for the upcoming mid-terms.

If Trump loses the upcoming election, he will more or less become a mere symbol of a US President for the remaining two years. This, of course, means that he is not likely to win in 2020. Especially, if Hillary decides to try a third time!

When you get this close to winning, just 77,744 votes, it can make you or break you. In the case of Hillary Clinton, it is most likely that it will motivate her even further. So watch out!
